dc.europeanity-The nutritional importance of water for the human body, its uses, as well as water protection measures are general characteristics, therefore also European. One of the main sources of water is the Danube river. - The Danube is the second longest river in Europe(after the Volga), which crosses the European Union. It springs from the Black Forest Mountains(Germany), the largest portion of the international waterway and flows through 10 countries ( Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria, Moldova), before flowing into the Sea Black. The Danube River is important for navigation, fish farming, provides water for industry, agriculture and population. From an energetic point of view, in Romania, on the Danube, there are the Hydropower and Navigation Systems Iron Gates I and II. - At the mounth of the Danube River in the Black Sea, the Danube Delta (the natural paradise of Europe) was formed. - Napoleon called the Danube ”the king of European rivers”.en_US
