In this scenario, the students study the water-cycle through playful activities and learn the key vocabulary. Then they apply this new knowledge by naming a picture. After that they are divided into teams. Each team has to choose a form of art and present a work of art as a final outcome. Next, they assume the identity of a European citizen, livng in a different part of Europe and based on a short description of the character and his/her relationship with water, they perform a role play. The next part of the lesson consists of an experiment, whter the students try to make water clean. In the last stage of the lesson, the students write a formal letter to the authhorities.en_US

OutcomeThe students are expected to be able to name and explain the different phases of the water cycle, enrich their vocabulary with words and expressions associated with the notion of water. They are also expected to cooperatively produce works of art. They should also be able to play the role of various citizens of Europe and reflect on problems related to the use of water in their area. Then, they are going to put the stages of an experiment in order and conduct it, so that dirty water becomes clean. Finally, the students will be training in writing a formal letter to the authorities, exerting their rights as European citizens.en_US

This scenario aims at informing the students about responsible water management in the European region. By adopting different identities of other European citizens, they realise how important water is in our everyday lives, no matter in which European country we live and they learn to behave responsibly. They also learn to express their opinions to the Ministry of Environment of their country in order to demand action be taken.en_US
